First Discovered?? :)

Hello guys, not sure where i was supposed to post this, i was looking around the forums and on reddit but could not find how is the First Discovered feature is supposed to work and how long until its supposed to show. If anyone can enlighten me would be amazing :)

had one of the most amazing experiece exploring today after finding 3 lonely stars, i saw a 4th one in the system, but that one had a surprise for me, around 10 planets and 5 belts, Seeing that star and all of the sudden glimpses of small orbiting bodies moving along wow, that was sexy :D (felt like watching Jupiter for the first time on a telescope and noticing the companion moons :)

currently on a 1000 ly economic exploration voyage and a Viper MKIII :p

When you find any stellar body as first cmdr, yours name will be show bellow its name at system map... If bodies what did you finded, after scanned, not had any Cmdr names attached for thier names, it means youre first. Scan with Detail surface scanner needed for putting your name into.

does it show right away after you run the scan? or takes a couple of hours to update? i've found several not discovered systems, scanned them fully, still doest not show first discovered :(

When you sell the scanned data you get notification which bodies where first scanned by you. Now you can check the system map and it should show your name as first discovered by [your name].

Thank you, long trek explorers have so much more to lose from attacks than every other profession. One unlucky interdiction and there goes $$$ ... and weeks of work :D

Thus, many explorers are careful about returning to civilized regions these days, having heard about the higher number of interdictions. I'll stay near the galactic core for a week or two longer, I think. :)

It is best to keep that info to yourself until you sell the data and claim it. Post it while you are still out there will encourage griefer to steal your glory.

heh im not telling my whereabouts :) im just in a distant place :p

that almost happened to me 40 mins ago lol

i don't know why FDEV have not implement a way to have our explorer systems tagged by an icon or legend just as categories on the filters :/ its a pain trying to find past explored systems to verify if i haven;t go there already :/ this game needs a lot of filters for the galaxy map, with so many star systems its a nightmare to keep track of the exploration progress we have :(
