It's the reason people blank out system names on screenshots so that no one snipes their finds
It makes it interesting if you meet another explorer in a high value system (2 earth likes for example) and you end up racing home to sell Not that that happens very much...

Not that that happens very much...Ah ok thanks for the info. I was drifting in space for 6 months and when I came back I turned in my stuff and I didn't have as many first finds as I thought I had. Nevermind!
The race reminds me a bit of this game I played as a kid called "Den Forsvunne Diamanten" -The Missing Diamond, where you basically move your piece around a map of Africa looking for treasure, the object treasure being a giant diamond called "Africas Star". Once you find it you have to get to Cairo, but other players could win if they found a Visa and got back before you (wt-eff right).
On my first coreward jaunt, and I can't help but notice how everything I have jumped to has been discovered already. It was the same story on my way back from the rim after having drifted. Come to think of it, what is the largest archive anyone has turned in?
