First Discovery Tags

So I'm out in the Orion Nebula, on my first real venture out into the Black, and I'm happening upon systems where it reads "First Discovered By " and then the name is starred out. What does that mean?

Maybe that's their gamer tag/ID on the PC? That'd be my guess as we can see PC first discoveries. I don't know if someone can make a username with all one character.

I would assume it has to do with xbox live and steam or pc's screen name systems not allowing the same characters or something. But could be wrong...

It wouldnt be vulgar xbox gamertags because xlive wouldnt allow the tag.

Ok, I guess that makes sense. Well back to charting the unknown. Thanks y'all.

I had a few vulgar tags in my youth. Easy to get past the sensors and it would take a while to get reported and force changed. (Not my best time in life) :p

Yup, it's censorship.

Even if a gt is funny, I like to report just to be a jerk. M$ replaces bad GTs with their also-bad-but-not-vuglar randomly generated ones.

My original gt was chlamydia, I thought it was hilarious when I killed players on cod that it would say they were killed by chlamydia

haha, yes, i did this too on PC, i stuck with more silly universally uncensored names like;

xxx was killed by God
xxx was killed by Accident

i have seen a GT called "ScanCreditsSuck" first tag whilst exploring

My favourite ever gamertag I ever saw was a player I encountered on GTA Online. We had a little shooting match on in the pier fairground one evening. I nearly spat my drink out when I saw I'd killed "Hung Like A Budgie" (although it probably didn't have the spaces). I sent him a message afterwards saying I thought his tag was hilarious. He seemed like a cool guy.
