Elite / Frontier First Encounters, motorbikes and the Great Gates of Kiev

Why are in the two Frontier games a lot of Kawasaki base, Honda Depot or Suzuki Reward?
Is there in Frontier Dev someone who loves motorbikes? Maybe David Braben himself?
If so, then in Elite IV I'm expecting to dock with Ducati station, or to land on Triumph base and so on... :p

For the second part of the title:
Is there anyone who never heard the Great Gates of Kiev score in the game?
I've never heard it, in original FFE and in any other mod neither .. :(

IIRC, GGoK is supposed to be played whenever you receive a promotion in the Fed or Imp Navy, although it's entirely possible that a bug stopped this from happening.
It's also entirely possible that I'm wrong ;)

I resume this old post because I found another interesting thing in Frontier 2 & 3, I don't know if that is a true citation or a big coincidence, anyway: in Sirius system, there is a planet called Lucifer.. well, Sirius and Lucifer are two song by Alan Parsons Project, a British band ;)

That got me curious so I ended up asking him. But as cool as it would have been it does appear that it is nothing more than a coincidence.

Lucifer - in the game - got its name from the predicted high-radiation environment that it is in, a "hell" so to say.

Unfortunaly we can't claim the reverse either as the Alan Parsons Project released Sirius and Lucifer in the late seventies and early eighties I believe which by far predates Frontier 2 and 3.

I heard that in Elite II Frontier, but not in FFE.
