Frame shift traps

Use certain mined and refined minerals to restock auto repair systems. Make two repair systems

I think rather many from your list has been mentioned here once or twice, in one or another form. These 2 things still, I have not read about these before.

Repair system idea could be nice. Variety of different materials could be used, and some/different components needing different materials.

The Frame shift trap. It is more or less the same as interdiction, except the theory behind is different. I think this is a good way to force encounters for players. I would continue from here...

Make pirates to have this trap device, and then there is actually a device in the space. You have to destroy this FSD trap device, or it takes really long to jump again. This will force the louse Type 9 Palladium traders to arm themselves, finally.

I wrote to some other thread about this distress signals, and other players being able to jump in to help you. imo this would be a really nice combination.

And yes, there has been ninja patching for sure.

Extra USSs
More types of USS please!
eg. ongoing battles - small/large etc, ships in distress, pirate groups, drops of NON stolen cargo (loot!)

*snip*

Anomalies
Got to the outer reaches of the Galaxy - charting unknown space? I did a bit myself (still can't believe others thought to go to the Plieades before so I got no firsts yet lol) but its a bit repetitive with all the scanning - beautiful sometimes but still repetitive. Anomalies would be extremely rare USSs or FSTs found only in deep unexplored space. Anomalies should be large payoffs for dedicated explorers.
eg. Ancient Probe stuffed with Exploration Data (loot!), Abandoned Explorer ship - Asp or some such with scoopable data canister floating nearby, Hostile Explorer ship, Navy ship on deep space mission, I could go on...

You're not alone on believing the ED universe needs a little more depth/mystery added to it - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=95448

The Frame Shift Trap would be an arbitrary drop from supercruise into a specific scenario.
Having players have to take out the FST (as a structure in space) would work nicely I think. Pirates could use, Police could, Navies - any major group. My thoughts were that players could get away but with a long cool down or have to travel outside of a sphere of effect.
FST would be a way of spicing up supercruise and making it more unpredictable.

As would

Moving USS - a type of USS that moves at SC speeds and can interdict and be interdicted by the player.
Difference been a moving USS could contain more than one ship - a Navy patrol, a Pirate band etc...

As a structure would be something different to the world, but could be an internal upgrade as well. Could be used by players in this way. Probably less work to implement. Or similar as a hatch breaker, but for FSD. Normally the npc pirates cannot even shoot your shields down, so might be rather useless.

FST could work as an instance for Wings as well.

If the FST would be too much to implement, there could still be this upgrade to slow down FSD. Pirates would interdict, and the target could not escape so fast. This upgrade alone would make it useful to have guns in your freighter. At least you would need to press Alt+F4 more often.
