First Impressions

OK I am a little late compared to most who have bought it, only bought Last Week. The game i did get for my Grand Daughter (11) but is a bit overwhelming, even for me. But as i keep trying gets more interesting, and so many things to do.
I would like to see more Animals preferably free, even have like a Pet Corner, Goats, Rabbits etc, would be great for the Kids visiting the zoo.
Also a big grid to work with covering a whole area, would make it easier to line up.
I have noticed a Mod Tool, which i have to download and see if its workable, would be much easier if we could design in Blender, 3dsmax, Maya etc and incorporate to game. The only mods i have seen are just redone Animals in a shade of colour. Maybe the Tool is a bit advanced for most.
But all in all a great game, learning something everyday, was annoying Small Exhibits do not sit on Plazas? as was designing a Reptile House with the Plaza Floor.
Keep up the good work, and hope to see it expand even more

  • Free animals: Maybe. Depends on what Frontier has planned
  • Grid tool: There is sort of a grid tool. Just place one facilitie, click paths and use "select grid". Click the building, work on grid for the entire map. Works with buildings, as well as with paths. Also works with single walls.
  • Mod tool: Maybe for scenery in the future like the ThemeMaker Toolkit for Planet Coaster, don't expect mods for animals.
  • Small exhibits can sit on plaza, just use the grid tool for paths and leave a opening. Tip for this, place buildings on a grid first, add paths and sorts later.

I think this video is very helpful for getting to know the path behaviour.
