First kill not using Gimballed Weapons!

I'm ashamed to say this but I just got my first kill with standard pulse lasers....

Gimballed weapons have ruined and spoilt me I'm afraid to say. The fight was so much more tense and I really had to pay attention to not only my pips but my overall energy usage and when to flee and then return to the fight.

You can't just hold the trigger down and smile. Try it you might learn something. I'm now a convert.

Also don't pick on deadly cobras in a sidey

I also had my first kill last night with the borrow pulse lasers although it was with a npc.

I like both fixed and gimballed weapons. Fixed is harder but by far more fun and rewarding, however gimballed are great for subsystem targeting. Depends on what you want to do to your target

Learning how to fight with fixed weapons is a good skill to have. If you fly a Cobra III you might as well have your lower mounts fixed as they cannot fire in the upper part of your screen when gimballing anyway because of where the mounts are. You might as well have those guns fixed and get the increased damage.

- I personally refrain from using gimballed weapons since I started playing as I think it's a crutch that will only teach me bad habits.

I just wish we had a convergence slider for wide hardpoints like the Cobras C1s.

You should get good with fixed weapons, otherwise when people start using chaff you won't be able to hit anything

Something i hope will be implemented in the future as well. Long time flight-simmer myself
