CQC First night in the "arena"

And I don't think I did too bad! I did play a few matches for about an hour or so during the beta but tonight was the first time in the live build. According to the screen shot after the last match I played for a hour with a result of 4 wins 0 losses, 34 kills, 18 assist and 14 deaths with a 2.430k/d and up to rank 8. There were a few lvl20+ players and one lvl 34 I specifically remember on the other team that had 3 solid diamonds set like a triangle beside his name I had a few good duels with that he got me more than the other way around. This defiantly made for a nice change in pace and got my space sim fix while short on time. I will most defiantly be returning for more. Im not sure if inserting a 1920x1200 6.59mb image in the post would go over, and I dont have any offsite link-to-your-photo-here account set up anywhere yet either but just thought I'd drop in for a sec and share how my first run went.

Sadly my experience was a lot worse.

Pretty much the same situation here. Played a few matches in beta, nothing since then...until yesterday. Three of us grouped up, and tried playing. Could not find a single CTF or TDM game. Managed to find DM, but at least one of us always got disconnected. (random error message, infinite loading, error message after dying, simply getting thrown back to main menu etc) After 30 minutes of torture we finally gave up. So my question is: how do you play this?

I'm a little bummed about this, since we're 20KLYs from the bubble playing catch-up with the main DW fleet. A little spaceship CTF was just what the doctor ordered to counter the space madness.....

Sorry to hear about that. I just launched the arena mode from the steam launcher and went into TDM. It did take a few minutes to find my first match...I'd say about 3 min or so...after that the next it didn't seem that bad. I managed to get 4 games in 1hr. I started playing about 930pm CDT here in the USA. I did leave one lobby after sitting there for about 5min but found another one rather quickly.

I launched it from the main menu, but I doubt that was the issue. It was between 22:00-23:00 GMT+1. The problem was probably that we tried to play as a group. Seeing how CQC is still plagues by issues like this, it's no wonder the mode never took off :( Was hoping FD got their act together seeing how they launched it as a standalone game.

Problem is in the groups. For the matchmaking groups are priority number one. If you have a wing with 4 members and if you found the match, there is problem that your wing will not be splitted two versus two but there can be situation four versus one or four versus two and there is problem. CQC is niot still lucrative and interesting for many players, there are no good rewards, titles, icons before your name in main game and whatever, there are only three mods and five maps and nothing more. I guess most frequently time is between 15:00Pm and 21:00pm for Europe of course.

Well last night wasn't as good, only found 2 matches in 45 min and they were multi prestige lvl25+ and knew how to fly together
...but they still knew I was there ;)
