First Planetary Nebula!

So...ladies and gentlemen...after travelling some 80,000LY and visiting over 65 explored planetary nebula, I've finally done it.
Yes, I've finally found an unexplored planetary nebula:

At this point, as if my day wasn't going well enough, I then found a nearby black hole to lens the nebula:

Feel free to post your first planetary nebulae!

Ok...so what is thee trick to this, and finding them? I have looked for blurry spots on the GalMap, Fuzzy stars if you will, and found plenty of them, but have yet to find anything remotely like this. They all just look normal when I jump in...

The light blurry spots are particularly bright stars, nothing particular.

To find planetary nebulae, you'll need to target black holes and neutron stars ('Non Sequence' in the GalMap), and keep your eyes open... They are visible in the GalMap, but are not a lot larger than the system dot, making them hard to spot. Move the map to have the core as the backdrop, it'll be easier to spot their dark stain on a light background.

And just keep your eyes open all the time when you're in the GalMap, 9 out of 10 times it's sheer luck!

Also, if you're interested in finding an unexplored one, make sure to stay away from well-traveled areas. You can use the Elite Dangerous Galactic Map to see if your nebula has already been found (before you travel thousands of light years).

Very cool find! Looking forward to, someday, finding my own...
Thank you, and I wish you luck in finding your own, CMDR!
once you return to civilization.... post the coordinates!
Will do, if you want :)
This is really cool! I am yet to find red nebula.
I know, they seem to be rarer than the blue ones. All of the red ones I've come across have been discovered, people seem to beeline for them due to their rarity.
