In case anyone here missed it, @Arthur Tolmie announced on the Thursday stream with @sallymorganmoore that he has recently purchased a PS5 and therefore will be organising the first - since launch? - PlayStation community stream at some point in the future.

So dust of your HOTAS's (HOTI?!) and DS's and come along.

It may help shine a light on the fact that PlayStation is currently the only platform where Elite does not support modern resolutions (Xbox has 4K in BC mode on the X/S - PC have configurable resolution - PS5 has max 1080p in BC mode).

I'm sure this will become a factor, as Arthur prefers to play in 2K (as do I).

Do they play in Open? Mhhh... might do a visit. If it's a nice visit or a plasma blazing visit depends on the feed of news on EDO for console...

I doubt it... Most people still don't. a friend of mine just paid a insane premium on retail price for a used ps5... Yeah. They are still not in store shelves for normal prices... so... yeah...

I think exactly the same way. Would be a surprise that it would be with purpose, but the hopes still fading away. I think personally, that we didn’t get this year any news on consoles. And in the new year? Perhaps in April, we getting something and it feels like something what we wouldn’t like.

Sooo... when is this stream? "Soon" (tm)?
Somehow my excitement is rapidly decreasing... So we get an info about an upcoming stream at some point in the future where nothing won't be told about the future of the consoles.... so we'll see guys fiddling with the controller and do stuff ingame, that we all have chewed (chewn? Don't know the correct past participle right now) through many times...
But somehow i am looking forward to see a personal reaction when the elephant in the room question (edo) drops into the stream, given that it is an interactive stream and not only a unidirectional "watch us play" stream. A non-textual human reaction is unreplaceable - it will tell us more than any copy-paste-able textual answer. We'll see.... "soooooooon"

By the way: my cup of earl grey gets cold - soon!

Almost certainly not in Open.

I'd predict a number of salty cmdrs dusting off their legacy consoles, dragging out their rusty FDL and "testing" the weapons, if they streamed in Open... not me obviously. Talking about "a friend" that might do that :unsure:

Yeah, yeah ... i also just asked for "a friend" with some nice golden FDL... i would never consider doing this stuff, cause... I am awesome... always... ehemm.... but this mentioned FDL has nice red propulsion colors, worth showcasing in a stream in combination with the golden paint... ehemmmmmmm....

But I am awesome.... always....,just askin' for a friend of mine.... :ROFLMAO: :cool::LOL:


Fun and jokes aside.... i wouldn't do this, cause I have stagefright. Also it would not help in our frustration issue. Just a short satisfaction with leaving a bitter taste on the streamers. Not worth it...
Also wouldn't be nice to shoot some not experienced ED-players, who do the stream for their job. :cool::LOL: the golden FDL is unforgiving... :LOL: :cool:

First? 🙃 Nah Ed Lewis did these years ago but, it will be interesting to see a PlayStation stream again.

It will of course be the first PS5 stream. 😜
