First post, few bugs

Hello everyone,

I want to start by saying that I have been playing the game since launch and I find it very addictive and enjoyable. There are however a few bugs which are sort of spoiling it a bit for me.

- Random crashes (not really a bug but very annoying) - are all those crash reports doing anything?
- Sometimes the ship is stuck in hyperjump mode and the game appears to glitch - have to terminate game and start again
- Random stutters while in supercruise
- Heavy stuttering while exiting hyperjump or supercruise
- Sometimes game glitches when on the home screen in random stations and will not accept any commands and have to terminate game and start again
- Sometimes commodity market is bugged and you cannot sell your goods
- Game takes an awful lot of time to calculate routes between systems that are more than 50lys apart, showing as no route available and have to pretty much spam buttons or other systems before it finally gives me a route

These are some of the bugs I have been faced with so far. What other bugs are people commonly faced with? Finally I have faith that Frontier will address all of these bugs in good time. I am not looking to start a flame war or troll thread.

My specs are below:

i7 3770k
8 Gb Ram
2 x GTX 780ti's

I get the stuttering too, as do many others. Definetely an ED bug.

Sounds like some of your other probems are more network related. Is your net latency/speed otherwise good?

The route calculation, it's a well known problem in computing, "the travelling salesman"... how to visit A B C most efficiently. Same problem as calculating which route you should take with 200 systems in between. Personally I just find the direction I want to go in and use "Select" for the system closest to that direction and near the limit of my jumping distance. The plot (when available) always make me travel to more systems than I need to.

Occasional stutter in SC.
Occasionally stuck in hyperspace but eventually come out sooner or later. I usually use this time to check the forums :)
Route planning is always instant for me so not sure what the story is there.
The others Ive never seen.

I cant really think of any other bugs Ive found, there probably is one or two but I cant think of any.

The stuttering and crashing on SC/jump enter/exit is because they're thinly-veiled loading screens, and are dealing with server instancing.

Sadly, such loading issues are present at times even in Solo (the game still communicates with the servers, and in the last half hour I've been disconnected from SOLO twice, and had lots of discovery scanner lag).

That's very interesting. I have heard of the travelling salesman problem before and I find it fascinating that this game is so massive that it is faced with such a computational complexity issue.

Indeed, it's not quite the same problem (the classic problem involves visiting a variety of places whereas we're more interested in the most direct route).

The routes could be precomputed but it'd take a bunch of disk space.

They'll probably find some improvement in route calculation, it does seem like they have a bare minimum in plotting destinations at the moment.
