First sightings of alien life forms. What was that?

I was inspecting the unidentified signal source I found while doing my routine courier mission run. At first it looked like a simple case of an early demise of another unfortunate cargo hauler. I planned to just pick up what was left from his cargo, but then I saw unusual blue-tinted glow on one of the exploded ship hull pieces. I got closer and at first I didn't realize what I saw, but then I turned on my ships lights - It definitely looked alive and it seemed like some kind of worms colony, I'm guessing they feed on metal and are afraid of sunlight - that is why I could only find them in crevaces of this destroyed space ship. The only problem is - is that the devs seems to figure out I found something I wasn't suppose to find and quickly disconnected me... what are they trying to hide?

Look from 1:32 to 1:38 and see for yourself  (ignore the blue glow - that's not the point of this video - look at the dark purple mass circular motion)

Imperial ship's wreckage... I say have a closer look at a clipper and its emergency doors. This looks more like less-than-immaculate texturing of the door's pressure seal.

I always thought there should be one or two alien race out there but I didn't know they where going to implement it, I've not seen them but that would be cool il have to keep an eye out.

Didn't watch your vid sorry need to PLAY lol see you out there fellow commander.

Just be glad they didn't find you!

I hate to second that but that is most definitely wreckage from an Imperial ship... The Apple design and the Imperial Eagle logo on one piece gives it away.

On the second thought I shouldn't have picked up that cargo container. Well, commanders, if you will find an empty carcass of my Sidewinder floating somwhere in space - do not come close, just shoot it with hot plasma from afar and fly away :D

I realized it was an imperial ship, but the important thing here is that it seems it was eaten away by those purple moving organisms )

I think that might be a lighting bug, seems strange that it only happens in a circular motion around that one specific area and not anywhere else on the wreckage.

I see that a lot of commanders here think that by aliens I meant the blue glow - it's not the case - look again from 1:32 to 1:38 and see for yourself (look at the dark purple mass circular motion - doesn't it seem alive to you?)

You can also see it around another piece of wreckage around the circular engine exhaust.

Btw, are you flying with joystick? Kinda admire the way you're familiar flying with flight assist off, but i guess this needs some proper hardware and training, right?

Vektor, I've seen the same thing on another destroyed Imperial Clipper - while I suspect it's a lighting or texture bug, it would be cool if it's the mycelium from FFE. :)

Thanks for the praise, but prepare to be astounded even more :D - by the jerkiness of ship's lateral and vertical movement you can recognize your fellow devoted keyboard and mouse player :D
I can give you my keyboard layout if you want (but most of it was copied from another thread where this subject was discussed before)

Agreed. And aliens created by our imagination are still a better option than no aliens at all.

My money is on it being the remains of a destroyed Clipper also. I like the idea of coming across the remains of a pirate raid, with destroyed ship wreckage floating about along with a load of cannisters that they couldn't haul away with them.

Thanks, will have to take a closer look at that and if this would actually make it easier. +Rep!
The main trick for me was to fine-tune mouse sensitivity, it's dead zone and amount of relative mouse rate (these settings are grouped together in controls options [first screenshot])
And I use numpad pitch and yaw mainly when I need to make fast turns in FS and 180 turns in battle. At all times my left hand stays on ASWD-QE-RF, the right one mostly stays on mouse, sometimes moving to numpad and energy pips control arrows. I know it will be much easier when I attach pedals from used steering wheel set I've ordered (will use the to control throttle)
