First time flying an Anaconda

My first impression is that I absolutely love the sound of it. I'm not a huge ship kind of guy and the Python is the largest that I've ever had the desire to purchase. However, I was thinking that a Tradeconda could be a good way to finance the module purchasing habits I have with smaller ships. Therefore, this is a temporary venture. BUT I actually like this ship. It's the perfect amount of large ship versus that cow that is the T9. This one actually seems like it could be a lot more fun to fly. I got it at discount so the outfitting was a lot less costly than I thought it would be. But for anyone out there using solely this ship as a means of transportation, more power to you! Lol.

If I ever run out of smaller ships to buy, I might convert mine into a Battleconda at some point. But probably not before. I already have plenty of other ships to use for fighting.

Wait till you upgrade to A thrusters and get a proper power distributor on it and give it a shot with FAOFF. You'll shake your head.

Yeah Tradeconda is magnificent. I have already made back a couple million in no time. And I'm in a wing with two other conda buddies of mine...ready for battle at a moments notice.

Yes, the class A thruster although expensive, really open up the maneuverability.

I was just wondering how my http://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda/...4.AwRj4yuqg===.CwBhrSukEZ+hSwg=?bn=Multiconda could be improved, but it can't - muhahaha [/evil laugh]

That and the Asp are the best ships in the game IMO...

Can't wait to try it out. My Asp is my secret love. Lol.

I'm currently saving up enough Cr to buy an Anaconda and fully A spec it from the get go. Not much longer to go now!

I'm currently trying to accumulate budget for Anaconda. I want it to serve 2 purposes and essentially be my mobile base:
1. Exploration
2. General 'go places ship'. I think once ship delivery system is in place(was confirmed that it can or will happen) it will work flawlessly.

Exploration in this ship is a must for me, particularly when Horizons comes out. I can just see it being a great experience especially when deployes ships comes out. Hopefully our fighters can hold SRVs (fingers crossed). Even if they cant, surveying with the smaller ship while the mother ship is in orbit will be really cool....assuming thats how it works.

The only problem with the Anaconda as an exploration ship is the limited view. The Asp is superior with its vast visibility.
I run a trading Conda and the key is to use 4A shields to allow a 452 tonne cargo capacity. The 4A option is still good enough for mild combat.

I went exploring in ASP, took me about 2 weeks of on and off playing. I got sick of the cockpit withing the first hour. I will take slightly less open view and about million times more pleasant interior of Anaconda any day.

This was true early on. I felt the same way about the Adder. A great cheap explorer but with a rubbish view.

Now that we have the Debug camera, however, it's far less of an issue as to how you cockpit actually looks. I also prefer a slightly more cluttered cockpit because it makes me feel like I've actually gone somewhere in a spaceship.

Having said that, the Asp is one of my most favourite ships in the game, no doubt about it.

I am using (i think i am not in a vast majority) a combat anaconda, ater a Vulture, a FDL and a Python. I have to say that, against NPCs, it is the most effective, even if not the most funny to fly!

At first, I hated the Anaconda, because I kept getting jammed in the starport entrances, and getting heaps of fines and almost losing it quite a few times. My first Anaconda was quickly traded in on a Type-9 Heavy.
Once I had enough credits to own both, I bought another one to keep. While I tend to do most of my trading in the Anaconda (except for trading missions), I eventually want to upgrade most of the modules to A Grade. That's a long way off at the moment, mainly becaus of the 5, or 6, new ships coming in 1.5/Horizons, of which I want to buy one of each of them before I get around to upgrading my Anaconda. Now that I can get in and out of the starports without getting jammed in the entrance, I really like it. It is one of a few ships that I tend to fly a lot. :D

Tbh, I really don't mind the turn rate in supercruise for exploration. For me, exploration isn't a race to get going through systems. I like to take a moment to chart, scan everything, plot, sometimes visit interesting rings, snap pics, etc. And I don't typically take pictures of things from the cockpit so the view won't bother me. My Asp is currently set up as a Fuel Rat build so best of both worlds there. I am also one of those CMDRs who prefer to travel with weaponry. Unfortunately, I have been the victim of long range griefers who kill explorers far from the bubble just for the hell of it. Plus, if I'm the first to engage Thargoids, I need to be ready in case they don't like my CMDRs face (character creator). Lol.

Currently, my 'Conda is set up for 448 tons. I could do 452, but I like my docking computer working with voice attack. Makes it feel like A.S.T.R.A. is really alive. :)

Really, that happens? Isnt the chance for them to meet someone extremely low? Or where was it roughly?

Yep, the chance is very low. But it CAN happen. I was only out about 3000-4000 LY at that point. A player in an FDL (he must've spent a little time getting there) ripped me to shreds. I guess I shouldn't peg him a griefer if he is just playing the game. I asked him why and he said he is playing the role of psychotic lunatic. *shrugs* As for where, I do not know exactly. I was pretty new to the game at that point. And being without any defenses for the first time made me nervous (not that I would've stood any chance anyhow).

I also have a notion that some wait at Sagittarius A for the unsuspecting CMDRs that have made the trek. I have no proof of that, but I don't put it past any player in this game to do so. What better way to cause someone agony than kill them when they make it to the center? At least with a few weapons, I can try to last til I can jump/escape.

Hello all Anaconda owners ,can someone help with a build for exploration? or has a pilot been to the core with this ship? hope its not out of topic :) but would like a ship that could do 35 LY jumps or greater ,not got a lot of cash but I have some :)
Any help would be great .I have been to the shipyard sites and played around with mix and match to choose modules of low mass ,but had much luck in getting the range /jump distance to improve.
Regards M

35 is a bit of a stretch, you have to be pretty low on fuel at that time. I'm having great fun with Coriolis Anaconda builds
