First Time I've Jumped THROUGH a Star...

I swear, I'm going to have to just leave recording on when I'm playing.

I'm about 6k ly from SgrA* and it's gone fairly smoothly. The only damage so far, has been because of my own stupidity - forgetting to drop from SC before I started repairs on my FSD... like that.

Then, I'm jumping into a system and go through a star and into the neutron star on the other side of it.

I almost had to go change pants.

Here's the view from my cockpit where I stopped and then rotated 90 degrees to port:

Here's another view from a short distance away:

When the secondary star orbits the main star very closely and is exactly between the system you're coming from and said main star, you have such effects. And it's indeed quite impressive. But IMHO, this is a bug, a visual one at least, this shouldn't be. You should simply come to stop behind the secondary star. Or don't even show the secondary star and have the main star displayed first, "spawn" the secondary one only once you came to a stop. You wouldn't notice anyway, since this one would be "behind" you.

If this configuration destroyed your ship on jumping in, would that be grounds to ask Support to resurrect you without Rebuy/loss of progress, exploration data etc.?
