First trip to Sgr A* - first intermediate report

So, I'm on my first trip to the center. Basic route idea: go towards Eta Carinae nebula, pick up a few planetary nebulae on the way, then turn left. Basically like the old receipe on how to reach America from Europe with a sailboat: go south until the butter melts, then turn right and keep going.

Things to report so far:
Found: three new ELWs and several terraformables
Lost:
- one SRV, driving along a crater rim in the twilight zone of a 1.5 g world. Following a strange and elusive signal on the scanner, the ground suddenly went down. Far down.
- 2% from the hull (and a lot more from the internals, but the AFMU could repair it) from running into a planet. Thought I could finish the scan and then pull up. Managed neither.

The picture shows a strange ice world. At least I suppose it is ice - it should be far too close to its sun, but still. Around 2.5 g. Found a crashed ship there, but couldn't reach it. The incline was too steep for the SRV to get a grip, so I either slithered past (when coming from the top) or couldn't get up (when coming from below). Which is strange. Gravity shouldn't play a role when the grip of the SRV is limiting the scalability of hills (both downhill force and normal force depend on g, so in the ratio between those two, which determines when you start to slither, g drops out).

Technicalities: I finally settled on a Python. Much nicer cockpit than the Asp, and cheaper (i.e. I can afford it) than a 'conda. With shields, some guns, mugs, wine, pods (to be sacrificed to black holes) and some tea (picked up on the way) I get a jump range around 21 lys. Had to use some jumponium to reach the Retina Nebula.

To be continued....
