Fix the texures of the stars when jumping into a system!

I have noticed since the update that star textures are horrible when you first jump into a system! The image does get better in a few seconds, but there isn't any reason why it shouldn't be a crisp image instead of a blurred blob.

It was a bug that was reported numerous times during the beta. They sort of fixed it by adding more of a gradual fade in rather than the hard pop in. It's actually in the release notes as being fixed. Hopefully they revisit it as it certainly isn't a nice effect.
 
I have noticed that load times in general have decreased (for the better) in a lot of aspects of the game, including what used to be the most painful one: dropping from orbital cruise. In this case I assumed the star textures were altered on purpose to help improve load times when jumping to another system.
 
Yeah this has annoyed me a bit in the last few hours... If it's for performance reasons, at least let the max settings keep it as it was...

I like the effect on red stars.

I'm wondering if it is a performance thing.

Theorizing here, I really have no idea but....

If you imagine the scenario of jumping into a system, the star starts of very small and quickly blows up to a huge size.

If stars were being over-rendered at small sizes as in too much detail, it's possible that this has been fixed.

So now the rendering level is appropriate to the size, it's just that there's a slight lag between star size increase and rendering detail increase as whatever calculations that are required is being done.
