FIXED: Codex opening automatically

Question: When using the FSS the codex opens automatically every now and then (I think whenever I discover a new type of body in the region). When I exit the codex (closing three of four menus) I end up in regular cockpit mode and need to engage FSS again.

Can I turn this feature off or is this working as intended?

Have you bound a key for it, are you having ghost inputs?

I notice mine doing the same too when first playing after the update, very annoying!

It's not done it at all today, though I'v not found any new objects to go in the Codex.

There's no key bound for it as far as I can tell.
Regarding ghost inputs, the whole game's acting up for me. The ship throttles up by itself and sometimes I lose all input (including input in the game's menu). I'll try using another USB port for the HOTAS.

How old is your HOTAS? Mine packed in after two years, after opening it up I found an exposed cracked wiring loom, X56 throttle, the upshot was loads of ghost inputs.

Theres an option in config under mode switches (IIRC) for open codex automatically, just turn it off its on by default.

EDIT : I've been trying to find it in game but can't I may be wrong.

Can't find it yet, but will keep on looking in the controlls menu. If only one could honk the menu to get results :)

Figured it out: The open discoveries key (d) was also bound to camera yaw. So if I moved right after a new discovery it openen the codex. Changed open discoveries to another key and problem solved.

Good news. I think I was wrong anyway, I've just been looking and can't find it now.
