I've wanted them to remove relogging for a long time, however!!!! Only if they actually resolved the problem that encourages players to do it.
Otherwise, it's just making stuff take ages, what would happen ideally for me, is you go to Davs hope, and get enough mats to fully engineer a module then you're done, that's it, you got the stuff. Davs hope over.
Same with guardian sites, each site should unlock a module specific to that site (you could have overlaps, so five sites would all unlock the shard cannon for instance, so there isn't only one location to get it, in this case, if you already unlocked it, you get enough mats to synth twenty premium reloads)
But there would also be many many other places, some of which jus have actual modules you collect.
You should also be able to directly specify what materials you want from a mission giver, in order to do their job.
The general amount needed to mod stuff should be at the least, halved, and you should be able to scan systems for materials you are after, and drop into signal sources knowing what's in there (but maybe not knowing a pirate is going to drop in, or that the stuff is guarded by a federal convoy etc)
Scanning megaship data links (and ground data links, a d getting data from Odyssey settlements) should go e you the specific location of a cache of materials.
Stuff like this.
Remove the boring repetitive RNG, replace with the ability to choose your goals and focus on them through gameplay
