Thought you might be interested in an update on how it is going with it. (also just to keep this thread alive)
It is now on 500+ views in less than 24 hours, which is pretty good for my small channel. Only a similar video I made in the summer about the camel did better than this within the same amount of time. So far it seems to still have a good flow of views coming in. Hopefully, it doesn't die out overnight so we can prove a lot of people care about this topic.

A Malayan Tapir appeared on the internet, so I am going to post it here.
Maybe one that they will look into it again but the chances are really thin.
Maybe with another tapir species coming to the game they would make adjustments to the Malayan one?
Who knows…
It would also be great if they could add deep diving to tapirs and let them walk underwater just as hippos do. It would be an amazing opportunity to remodel the existing reskin.
Actually the brachiation for orangutans gave me a bit of hope for a change in the future because if they are investing time in remodeling the old rigs they could also do the same with tapir.
