Flashing colors on the dash?

I get red and blue on occasion and have an RTX2070s

Okay, so it's not specific to the RX 6000 series, or AMD in any way. I figured I was the only one getting it. I had yet to see it complained about. It can be kind of obnoxious. Sometimes it happens so fast you barely catch it and that's fine, but when it's like a disco dance in there...no thanks!

It doesn't happen all the time, but does anyone else with an AMD card getting random pink/ green/ red flashes on your dash? As you pass beneath stars? Or even as the light hits you on planetary surfaces? I didn't get this in Horizons.
I like it, it gives me the "urban youth" experience.

I get red and blue flashes on my dash too. I wonder if it's something to do with the orbit lines or something.
I'm not on an AMD card either.

I get this as well, I think it’s the landing lights just blinking through the cockpit - in a similar manner to you seeing a star behind you reflected off a bobblehead.

I don’t think the cockpit is ‘solid’ as far as some light sources go.

Okay…now I have to know. What is this “urban youth” experience? Because I’m guessing I’m too old to know what the new version is. When I was young? it was about candy-flipping and double stacks. Is that the one? Because if so? I’m missing two crucial components for this to be fun lol! One of those being Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, or Nine Inch Nails. Yeah, I wasn’t the rave kid…and, I’m old.

Young black kids in America tend to be racially profiled and targeted by the police. Hence when you see your dash light up with strobing red and blue lights....

Now, I am not looking to get into a political or social discussion, and FBI statistics actually belie the myth. But that's what the reference was about.

...Not as fun as my urban youth experience, it would seem. I was thinking more in the vein of trippy lights, awesome music and some..."inspiration." ...And sometimes a little Pink Floyd. Ok, well, a lot...

I was seeing NPC flashlights through walls… update 3 fixed that. Same problem still happening with landing/docking lights on ship.
I’m running an Nvidia, so probably not a GPU issue.

Have been getting this as well. It appears to me to be something with the lighting issues of Odyssey.
Last night I was approaching a station, started getting the flashes, rolled my ship over to darken my cockpit and .... flashes stopped. Hmm, rolled just enough that the light source lit up the cockpit again, and flashes started again.
I might add the flashes were blue and red, and only appeared on certain surfaces of the cockpit. Unlike the strange full screen flashes when entering/exciting SC or glide, and the wierd snapshots of gameplay from 10 mins ago when exiting the game.

Pair of GTX 980 Ti's and when I start getting the flashing (and lowered FPS) I know it's time to relog to "empty out" the leaking memory of this PBR implementation. :(

I wondered if it had a memory leak at release. Initially it would gradually get worse, like Cyberpunk did at release. Reload the game and back to faster.
