Fleet carrier completing passenger missions

Greetings commanders,

ok, first the caveat. I have no intention of doing this, have not really researched it and have no ulterior motive for asking. it is simply something that come up in conversation and we wondered if it would work or if anyone has done it.

If I were to fill my cutter with the high value passenger missions in colonia (visitor beacons etc) that pay tens of millions, park it on my fleet carrier and headed back to the bubble, then to each beacon system. use the cutter to scan the beacons and go back to colonia. would it work?

Its been many years since i did passenger missions so an not familiar with the current quirks and annoyances of them. Would I still receive the silly demands for a ton of fish and boiled eggs etc or would they just sit down and as we are not actually flying around in the ship?

Can't see why it wouldn't work - though it wouldn't be very profitable with current Tritium prices.

I do believe something changed with the 'extra demands' - I used to avoid them by simply not making a decision in the comms box and just ignore them, but last time I landed the passengers moaned about it, I lost some of their happiness but not enough thankfully to lose any of the payout.

For A -> B travel ships work out faster than carriers.

You'd probably get 30Ly per jump out of a Cutter so you could just make 500Ly slightly quicker than a carrier and you wouldn't have to pay for the fuel.
