Fleet Carrier Design Suggestion

This is only a simple design suggestion for the Frontier Development employees working on the squadron fleet carrier model.

The original fleet carrier concept features numerous runways not unlike its earthly counterpart, the aircraft carrier.
This is an unnecessary component given that aerodynamic lift does not exist in a vacuum. Additionally, every ship in the game is fully capable of vertical takeoff and landing.

I completely understand the artistic decision to include it. There is a certain drama present in rolling on/off an airstrip. However, it does not fit what we presently know about Elite universe.

In effort to promote realism and distance ourselves from Star Citizen I recommend utilizing a "spacecraft carousel" instead.
The mechanism is not unlike specialized rotary vehicle storage system. Essentially ships are efficiently stored on landing pads affixed to a moving belt system. The pads are cycled to and from a hangar exit/entrance.

An excellent, fictional adaption of this system can be viewed in Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Examples from both the series and accurate plastic models can be seen below.

I believe removing the exterior flight deck will also allow for greater design flexibility.
That's all I have to add. Thanks for listening.

Also, anyone feel free to list design features they would like to see included in the fleet carrier.
I'd like to know what sort of ideas the elite community is bouncing around right now.
