Fleet carrier how to hitch a ride?

Ive been going for ages to reach my destination. How do I get on a fleet carrier to return to the bubble? I'm at Medsas rock .. looking for a fast way back to the bubble? Some clear instruction to hitch a ride on a FC would be good. I looked at FC site where owners of FC are but I came away more confused is there a way in the game just to find out whos travelling on their FC and hitch a ride?

The game itself provides no such facility. It won't even tell you where there are fleet carriers until you arrive at a system that has them. You have to rely on the community. There are Discord servers (or whatever they are called) and I recently saw someone post a request for help on these forums and got loads of offers for help. Bear in mind you are more likely to get help if you can give something back in return. While you wait for help you could, for example, mine some tritium.

BTW did a quick search on EDSM and Inara for "Medsas rock" and could not find it. Is that a station or a system?

If you're using Discord, find the FCoC (Fleet Carriers Owners Club) link and join. There you will see FCs looking for friends and departing from many other places, mostly with regular flights from Bubble to Colonia. One of them is either near you or if the FC owners have time they will come to pick you up.

On Discord you find a group named the Fleet Carriers Owners Club. Many carriers offer transportage there. I flew for ree with the Froc Sleeper Service home from Colonia to the Bubble! :)

Station I may have got the name wrong. Medusas rock sorry.

Got it. I've been there too.

Hmm, you have been travelling for "ages" and you are still in the Inner Orion Spur region. What's your jump range? Were you aiming for further or are you doing proper exploring and visiting absolutely every system you can.

BTW my carrier is nowhere near you, so I am unable to help you. Good luck getting back to the bubble.

Optional:

Strip your ship of all the engineered modules. Kill yourself.
Take the sidewinder option (you are now in the bubble)

Transfer your modules back to where you are and rebuild your ship

Thats right. Its like ultimate teleport back to spawn. No matter where you are, it sends back to very first spawn point of each cmdr, where they started.
On galaxy map its visible too, I mean its like you can have your own grey cross line across galaxy... if done like from beagle point or conda graveyard, its looks really good.
I think I did that each time when wanted go back from colonia to bubble instantly, and few more times too.

It kinda obvious, but its highly recomended to sold exploration data first, before using that method :sneaky:
