I did an experiment with research data and the FC fee of its Universal Cartographics service.
Passed data of exploration on FC (-25%). But the exploration rank was added as much as 100%!
Once again, the payout was -25%, but the increase in exploration rank in the Pilots Federation was like 100%, no fee, not from the amount paid, but from the actual cost of the data.
This means that the ranked profit from research is calculated by the algorithms of the game BEFORE deducting the FC fee (25%), from the full worth of research data, regardless of where you submit the data, at a regular station or at FC!
This information can be useful for those who actively use FC in explorations and are afraid of losing time and efforts by 25% (12.5%). No, you do not lose rank, you only lose credits.
You can easily check this yourself, based on the data from this article (https://elite-dangerous.fandom.com/wiki/Explorer) if your rank is not Elite yet or from another account (I used the second one).
This probably also works with the Redemtion Office. But this needs to be checked separately.
