Fleet Carrier Jump range 2025 onwards

The 500ly range limit is a contributing factor as to why i never bought a carrier. My heart (and thanks) go out to the poor souls running taxi services to colonia and beyond. 44 jumps each way with a 15 minute cooldown on each is getting dangerously close to a 2nd job. Even just increasing it to 1k or 2k would be a huge QoL improvement

Strange, with Mandalay jump range was improved over Anaconda pretty marginally, few percents at most. But because of that some Pilots are believe, that FC's jump range has to be increased at least 5-10x in response.
Could be a message from FDev is pretty opposite and really something like "want to jump far and fast? Then leave your FC, take Mandalay and get busy!".

Some people are just looking for any reason to justify dumbing down ED. No concern for the future of the game whatsoever. They just want it all, and they want it now.

I think that this should be addressed by allowing FC commanders to plot actual multi-jump routes, instead of requiring us to do each jump manually.

Even before the Mandalay, flying one's own ship along a neutron highway was the faster option than using an FC. Carriers are for when one needs to transport a lot of stuff, or reach stars too remote for ordinary ships, I don't think they were ever intended to be the option for anyone who wants to get anywhere especially fast.

I could see maybe going 750lys but it's a carrier, it's designed to move a bunch of ships and stuff, not really designed to move across the galaxy in 15 jumps. I'm still waiting to see a ship break the 100ly year barrier (No supercharging and boosts don't count). Lets keep the black, the black, I'd rather not see the galaxy get any smaller then it is. Remember we were maxed out around 36ish for a few years and people still traveled to the other side of the galaxy.

What's the obsession with jump range? Surely part of the charm of Elite is we got a 1:1 scale galaxy that takes time to travel through. Now all players want to do is get everywhere with the least amount of effort.

Seriously where its the line drawn? 12 jumps to Beagle? Even then some would want it to be 6
Ppl want instant things...some ppl have even asked for fcs to jump across the galaxy in one go.
No one wants to play the game these days as playing is now counted as grinding. One button click other side of the galaxy, one button click instant billionair, one button click all engineer unlocks. I really don't get it. If you don't want to play then simples, don't flipping well play.
