Me and 10-15 other commanders where on our way home from Colonia and we wanted to get back on Thursday evening our friday night.
We were travelling with out Fleet Carrier after a week of being in Colonia to get all Engineers unlocked before the Odyssey release.
I do these flights to help people out that don't have time / jumprange to travel this far. I have a whole Discord server for my fleet carrier where people can request a trip or a rescue , or other things they need help with for absolutly no charge !
When we went to Colonia I told people to bring all ships with them that they might wanted to Engineer and use all module space for stuff they want Experimental effects on .
This caused a lot of people to have no fuel scoops with them including myself , because in Colonia we wouldn;t need them anyway and since no one had any exploration plans they just weren't needed.
So the Odyssey update happens and things go wrong left and right wich causes Frontier to disable Fleet Carriers , understandable . However we were travelling home when this happend and where already a distance of Colonia so you guessed it , we got stranded. I contacted support and before I continue I want to say this , I understand how Fleet carrier disabling was necessary but I think that as a game developer you could have already see this coming and should have atleast warned us about this might happening because then we would have NEVER started our journey back . I fully understand that disabling carriers was needed to keep the servers running so people can play the game but you have to make sure as a game developer that everyone can play the game and not just a majority of the players. Especially if we pay 35 euros for a DLC . I have contacted FDEV about this in all possible ways i know off ( Twitter DM / Tweeting them / Email them) And I can tell the respond time is awfull ! I get it that you are busy especially after such a update but I also think that you should give priotity to help player that are not able to play the game ! I was promised that our carrier was going to be teleported to the bubble so I got extremly happy about this , including the commanders i had on board however just 6 hours later we were told this would not happen ! They then said they could teleport us players to the bubble , wich is pointless to me since we all had all our ships on board and it would take billions of CR and hours of time to transfer ships around.
After talking and trying to make FDEV respond for a while (2 days have been passed now) and explaining my POV mulitple times we now just heared that Carrier jumping has been re-enabled.
So this morning I wrote them anther email asking if we can please get a TP to the bubble with our carrier , now we finally got instant support and we were told that that won't happen.
I think it is fair to Teleport the carrier , we would have arrived back in the bubble over 30 hours ago if this never happend but now we still need to travel 15 ish hours just to get back wich well makes it so we all unable to play the game this weekend besides me plotting jumps and refuel the carrier . Also after days we were just told that not only our commanders and the ship we were in but that all our ships can be Teleported , like seriously tell is this in the first email next time !
Ok this seems like a fix right ? Well I am still stuck on the carrier since I need to refuel it manually no matter what ! Also It took us far longer then 2 days untill most of us could playn the game again , in the time we were stuck a lot of things have already been spoiled for us . And we just have not been able to play the game we paid for ! So i am asking now FDEV because I know there is more players out there that also where stuck with other Carriers , will there be a compensation ? I think it is fair to get one after all of this . I have been playing games for 12+ years and I have never seen something like this before , I have never had such poor support before .
Don't get me wrong we love the game and we are really happy to get something cool as Oddysey but these things just should not happen .
