Fleet carrier not showing up?

I just managed to finally buy a fleet carrier, around 15 minutes ago, but I still can't see it on the system map or in the nav panel in the system it should be in. Is that normal, will it just appear soon? Or is something wrong? I tried loggin out and in several times, left the system and came back...

If the system you bought it at is full it will be moved to some neighboring system. The mail you got should indicate where it was dropped.

I am probably stating the obvious, but you never know :p

Thanks, but I can even see in the carrier management panel that it should be in my system. Just not visible anywhere (yet?)

Another idea: Carriers are by default filtered from the left hand menu. But it should be visible in the system map nonetheless...

I have this issue now, i bought it, said it is located in Mitnahas system, saying same when looking in the fleet carrier managment that i now have on right side. But when i come to system it says its in, it does not show up on the list. Filtered out to only show FC and even tried showing all. Jumped in and out of system to see if it gets updated but alas nothing. Did i just buy empty parking space for 5b or what i do?

Give it some time, maybe FDev servers are a bit lazy today.
If it still does not show up, later in the day contact customer support

Did that fleet carrier vendor have a Nigerian accent per chance?

If and when you finally find it, bookmark it and store it in favourite bookmarks, it will be in the top of your bookmarklist in the galmap. Especially if its name starts with an A.

Other than rebooting, I would try moving the carrier to another system. You can make the carrier perform a jump remotely through your ship menu. A new carrier comes with some tritium, so fuel not an issue. You might want to move your carrier to a Fleet Carrier administration system anyway for applying the desired services.

My guess is that it's a server load thing.
(Same reason it takes a long time to jump when alot of Cmdrs are playing - propagating the new info to all the servers sometimes takes a little while)
Wait for an hour - relog - if you still can't see it, contact support (y)

After busting a nut to get the 5 billion, I was also sweating when it didn't appear where the message said it would. I jumped in/out, re-logged, nothing worked, even though I had EDDI telling me I was zero light years away. Then after reading this thread, and looking at the carrier navigation menu, I accidentally started a jump to the same system, and thought I had better cancel it immediately, after which my Fleet Carrier promptly appeared in the system!
