Fleet Carrier Paint Jobs are still Bugged...

Hi so Fdev can fix a LTD exploit in mere days...but been over a week now and Fleet Carrier Livery is still bugged. Fleet Carrier Paint jobs revert to Default soon as you SuperCruise away....you would think since CMDR'S spend "real life money" you would think it would be a top priority list? But apparently fixing in-game money issues is more important? Nani!?

Yo Fdev...Yo Tim could we get an idea when this will be fixed? Thanks o7

They fixed the craziness of some SSD deposits spitting out 11 fragments with a single missile. This was not an exploit, but rather an unintended overbuff of LTD SSD mining. The actual exploit (respawning the same SSDs over and over again) has not been fixed.

Well obviously they knew what the product was going to be. As a comparison, Bromellite gives me a total of about 8 tons from a SSD. Someone ignored that one. It's not a sought after good, but it's a good one to practice on.

Carriers are reskinned stations(to a degree) so I expect that is causing problems in terms of a fix, or they are doing lots of bug fixes and want to release them all in one patch.
The most annoying FC bug is the galmap and your ever changing route, as in telling your ship to go to your FC and ending up at someone elses !!!

Yep, but community managers are there to keep contact with the community and provide this kind of information. It would be nice if one of them would jump in the forum and confirms this.

What about fi we all would contact support and demand a refund of Arx because of not persistent FC paintjobs !?
Maybe someone at FD wakes up then and considers that most of us don't think that's funny in any way...

Yeah I know, it's not supposed to happen because they already have our "money" (real money or playtime) changed to Arx and therefore everyone got what they bought, Arx...

I would be very (pleasantly) surprised if that happens. In the meantime, I spent some of my remaining ARX (not buying more until Odyssey supports VR) on the black and gold Osiris paintjob for my mining Python.

It's not that I mind the bugs much (though I'd really like to have that UNWANTED imperial decal removed and my paintjob back), I'm again baffled by Frontier being completely silent about it.
I absolutely get their attitude on announcing new stuff and not commenting on wild speculation, but why would they shut up about people wondering about bugs introduced with the newest update? Especially when it affects items bought with real money.
Saying "Don't worry, people, it's gonna be fixed. We're working on it!" would be such an easy way to soothe the community.

Their most likely prioritising bugs. And let's be honest I'd rather have integral bugs fixed exploits etc than them focus on cosmetics
But ..... the product we've paid for is defective.
And by law we are entitled to a refund

This is one reason why I'v not bought ANY cosmetics for years now.....if Frontier can't support & communicate with their customers that are spending additional money on cosmetic in-game stuff, they don't deserve MY money & won't get it.

They really do keep shooting themselves in the foot with this non-communication crap.

Since ARX was introduced last year, I'v 'bought' one item - the Thargoid bobblehead for 1 ARX, in fact I'v not even looked in the Store since I got that item, despite amassing over 11k ARX just by playing ED.

Whoever thought up this whole ARX thing really aren't doing their job right - as it's obvious to all us customers that it's not being used to it's full potential - including speed of resolving issues.........but then again, that sums up Frontier.

OK, so they refund you and take the defective paintjob away from your account. Once they fix it you still don't have a paintjob you wanted. What would you gain?

You'd gain the ability to buy a paint job that works rather than one that doesn't.

CMs mentioned this bug in relation to a patch coming next week in the livestream last night.
More info on content of the patch next week, but it was certainly heavily implied the FC paintojb fix would be in there.

Cheers.

Welcome to the "proper" Beta testing.

I personally wouldn't be proud of myself if I sent a product to a customer and it had this many problems but then again if I reflect on what I and all of us already put up with in this game then this really is nothing out of the ordinary and as we continue to give them money for these experiences, then they will continue take it.
ARX, I gave Frontier money for ARX, I got ARX, I used the ARX to buy a paint job for my FC that doesn't work, can I have a refund, I've got the ARX, I am unable to say the product is faulty as I got my ARX, there is nothing I can do about it, I got what paid for.

Thing is, these did work at release (which is why I bought so many).

They just wrecked them shortly after with a patch that was supposed to fix other things.
