Fleet Carrier --> Points for the Future !!

Hello Frontier Dev Team,

I ask you to add the following properties to the Fleet Carrier.
1. Give the carrier a cockpit and let the players fly the carriers themselves as well as the other spaceships. The handling is adapted to the size of the carrier.

2. Provides a module for carriers that can be accepted and fulfilled in one's own carrier missions (such as in stations).
Here I could imagine a mission module for the carrier.
So you could fly independently to the end of the Galaxsy in single player mode and really explore the elite, as you could finance your carrier with missions throughout the universe.

3. Let the carriers be independent and not fixed by a grid
park, the carriers are too good for that.
One could think of a limit on the number of units that could or would not allow a jump into a system.

I wish to explore the whole universe independently with my carrier and my ships in single player.

PS: These points would give ED the kick for the future.

I would be very happy to hear from Frontier.

Totally agree, the way it is at the moment you are paying 5bln CR + upkeep for just an expensive nondescript warehouse in space. Even the comms upon docking don't recognize who you are! Lmao

I would imagine the main issue is the ED software sees carriers as space stations with the exception that they can be relocated, they are actually not ships.
I bet that's how the software is written.

And if you are fined in the system, because of of leaving a space station a little bit reckless, you can't even load/unload or interact in any way with your own carrier.

I bet that's how the software is written.
That's pretty much what they are. Space stations that relocate.
That's why OP's wish of us flying them/not locking them to a grid will never happen, and why there is a hard cap on FCs per system, determined by stellar bodies.
Trust me, I've been thinking about a parking grid in space for carriers too. Not possible due to the way things are coded.
 
Give players the ability to fly their FC and they would crash it into a station, and each other. FC are not ships, they are mini stations that can jump to various bodies in a system or to other systems.

That said, I'm not against this at all, lol.
