Fleet Carrier: Route plotting

I feel like we would be better served if we had a long-range plotter for our fleet carriers. Just set a destination and as long as you keep it fueled, it would keep jumping until it reached it's destination. It would be a great option for us, I think.

Or got stuck trying to jump to a system that was invalid for Fleet Carriers to jump to.

Nah, 500ly per jump is fine, you don't need to chain them then essentially go to bed and wake up in Colonia.
 
Or at least a 500ly radius zone color.. easier jump-to location selection (reading a list from the fleet carrier plotter and entering text via PS4 is no fun).

You can't, you'll have to constantly manually refuel them every 7 jumps or so with a full carrier.

It would be a nice feature because as of right now, travelling long distances in carriers are super boring. You basically click a couple of buttons every 20 minutes and repeat that dozens of times till you reach your destination with nothing else to do in those 20 minute downtimes. Maybe limit the auto plotter to a couple thousand lightyears so players can actually log off and do some other stuff and come back every couple of hours to refuel and replot?

Giving this a bump, as I was about to post myself on the topic. I'm genuinely surprised that we can't plot FC jump routes, especially accounting for the Sleeper Service FCs, seems like a fairly obvious point of QOL.

Except for the many demands that the crew you pay for should be able to pump fuel from the hold to the fuel tank without you being on the FC, we get that one all the time as well, and maybe it's the same people, I'll just put this here, it's appropriate;

Appropriate? No, it really isn't. Satoshi can go sit on a cactus Pokemon, it's a bad attitude to have towards community feedback. Taking in additional views and ideas doesn't mean just blindly implementing them as they are on the surface, it means reading between the lines and using the additional perspectives to find the core things that need improvement.

Also, the post you replied to was over a year old...FYI.

That makes imo sense if our FC crew can level up in a way similar to ship crew. I can see my FC navigator to learn how to do 2 jumps, then 3-4-5 in a row. The same with tritium depot manager who will eventually learn to refuel carrier from the storage - like 5-10-20-50% of fuel a week.
 

When people offer to improve the game it's a good thing. The bad thing is that there are people who not only do not want to do it, but also in every way want to prohibit it to others.
