I have been away from game for about a year and recently returned. My main problem with Fleet Carriers are the penalties for owning one.
1. If you buy all of the modules which is a game option and stock your outfitting and ship inventory, you have no space to do any buying or trading of commodities. Storage needs to be boosted by at least 5k to 30k.
2. The 15 min timer between jumps and the 500 LY restriction makes a carrier useless for exploring. For example if you wanted to jump from Sol to Colonia with your squad to participate in a community event. It would take over 11 hours in a fleet carrier to make that trip. How is that fun for customers and justify the cost of a Carrier? Carrier jump range should be increased to 1k and time reduced to 5 minutes.
As a business owner myself, if I am selling a premium product for a premium price, I should be giving premium features, When one considers the cost and time involved to buy a premium feature and then the limits placed on a customers ability to use that feature it is not a good business practice. Frontier needs to remember that many of their customers are adults with jobs, family's and responsibilities. In addition to all of that I am taking care of a mother with Alzheimer's. I am not a nameless / faceless "Player" I am a person and customer. I don't have the luxury of a random 11 hours to spare just to get to a destination so I can 'start to play the actual content'
Customers bring in revenue to pay salary's and drive profits. The game market is very competitive and there are lot's of options for customers to choose from don't drive customers away with things that can be easily be fixed.
