I hope my story is a help to new commanders. So I took the leap to Colonia explored did Bio tech all the way. Each 1st landfall (step on the planet) you get a bonus of 5x for scanning the plants. That's how I made most of my $$$$s by the time I did the grind to Colonia I was half way to 5 billion a little more grind learnt to mine and engineering my 6 purpose built ships to the max which is easy in Colonia everything's there and close at hand .. NOW with a FC I just zip right out one jump and every planet is a discovery with 5x bonus plus scanning the rings in a system get you plenty of fuel and very valuable mining. Yer there's some grinding but I go mining to exo and then with my fighter line up engineered to 5 you become pretty formidable. SO in a nut shell Colonia is worth it less probs around you and a FC is deff very handy. Oh and at the mo I have enough credit to pay for it for 3 yrs. NO prob. GO FOR IT cmmdrs. Cheers CC
