when i downloaded ED i thought it would be a sort of monopoly game.

you need to be able to hire people to fly other ships for you (i du know that u can do that with fighters but i mean like anacondas and things!) i did not want to watch any youtube videos cause spoilers n all so i had no clue what was coming! i was going to get 20 ships and put them in one system and buy a big massive ship to defend it like a base but my dreams were crushed when i first open the game! has anyone else had the same idea? And the devs... pls make my idea real!

I hate to say it, but it sounds like you did little to no research before you bought the game... As you say, that's not really what Elite Dangerous *is*.

I suppose anything is possible, though. Someday we may see something akin to this, but it's no anything that's currently been discussed.

There are countless games that already do that .. This is not a recommendation but it sounds you are looking for this http://www.galciv3.com/

Elite is very much about you as a solo pilot finding your way in a massive galaxy.

This is not the game your looking for. I did the same thing way back when I brought BF2142 thinking it was a RTS, then had the best time for a good few years up to BF4 when I stopped playying the BF games also met one of my RL best friends so it wasnt all bad. :D

Fleets are an on going discusion been many threads about them, ED is about you and your ship, add a wing mate a SLF thats as close as your going to get to a fleet. there is of course MC but thats more about sitting in some elses ship and shooting fish in a barrel.

Battle Fleet Gothic, Sins of a Solar Empire etc are the games your looking for.
