Flight Assist off....partly mode

So one thing I think would be a great addition, is a type of Flight assist, hell could even be a 1 slot optional module, where when you turn off flight assist, directional thrusters are off, but orientation assist remains on.

This has been suggested before, but doesn't jive with the balance between modes Frontier seems to be aiming for.

FA-off flying is supposed to be a challenging flight model that becomes rewarding once you master it.
Start slowly, don't rush it, and keep practicing, you'll get there.

I'm just learning to fly., K&M. Relative mouse made it quite a lot easier, I actually hit Thargoid scout twice out of 30 shots yesterday. Which means I was mostly pointing in the right direction at all times, which was NOT the case without relative mouse.

I'm not a huge fan of these mouse settings though. I'll go through some YT tutorials and see.

I've been doing my part as a playtesting citizen over the last few days and one of the things that's seems lacking is no true FAoff. They have this "untethered" thing which seems to be what you're suggesting. I'm all for options, so an extra press of the Z key wouldn't bother me.
