[flight assist off] vector

I've been experimenting flying without flight assist off, u can be a much harder to hit target.
i have a hard time figuring out where im headed. So i need some kind of a pointer which shows me my trajectory.
Maybe something similar to the prograde and retrograde marker in ksp but on the whole screen?

you have the "stars"... whatever its supposed to be that flies by you when you heading somewhere. no? maybe thats only visible in fsd i don't remember now, haha

Don't hold your breath, the space dust out the side windows is your vector, and you're not the only who would love a velocity vector.

I'd also like to see some kind of indicator as to my flight vector with FAO. What's funny is if you research and find some old footage they actually used to have two ways to see this.

Space dust was more pronounced like in this video:

And my personal favorite... multiple lines indicating velocity like we have in supercruise on the left and ride sides of our center screen. Theres lots of them and they are subtle, but they used to be there:

I'd like to see that re-implimented with a toggle to show it always, with FAO or toggled by hotkey.

Since Beta amount of dust was reduced, so it will be very helpful option to have velocity vector indicator.

Yes, it really amazes me this feature isn't in, even though it was in Elite 2! (Not sure about 1 and 3, since I've mostly just played elite 2)

Naturally the simple way to implement would be to just have a cursor on screen indicating the vector, and another for the opposite direction. The execution could be similar to the navpoin indicator, i.e. when the indicator goes out of view, it stays in the corner until it becomes in view, and also changes to the opposite direction indicator appropriately.

Really nice idea with opposite direction indicator. Like it!
