Flight Path Vector for FA off?

For those that use flight assist off quite often, it would be extremely useful to have an exact indication of the way the ship is pointing, rather than just having to extrapolate via external cues such as the 'space dust', which still leads me to battle with 'align with ship trajectory' when engaging the FSD. All modern aircraft HUDs have them... Please Frontier? Just a small change for 2.4? Searching around on Google proves that this topic has demand; so... Please?

/moved to suggestion subforum, where it is more likely to be seen.

you are not the first one to ask for this, but it is much needed!

Oh, and just realised I meant the way the ship is HEADING, not pointing ;)

As a 100% FA-off pilot I don't have any issues now assessing what my ship is doing vector wise. It would be nice to see and indicator of some kind though.

a simple fix maybe to add a small two or three bar line "tip" to the top of the speed bar on the right side of the hud...

at first I thought of these, but realized the bottom image is the best form. Simple and does the trick at a glance.

apologizes for the poor graphics
