Flight Trial

So I recently came back after a long break and am ready to set off in a new Anaconda on it's flight trial to Betelgeuse, which is where I always go with a new ship. I previously took one to Colonia and back and hated it but only because it was too safe, I feel like I need safe as I have just recently started flying again. So question, how do I name my ship now? I cannot find where you can name one unless you have a nameplate which I won't buy. Answers are welcome.

The only way to get the name of the ship on the ship is with the nameplate.

Btw you should be using the beluga liner, it can carry more, and actually turn in supercruise, plus you can see out of the front window

I don't want it on the ship, we used to be able to name our ships for our own use, mostly identifiers in shipyards. As for the Beluga, nice but I'm not a fan of cruise ships.

50ly range easily, looks great, turns very well, is fast, but the main attraction is this

It even sounds better than the anaconda

Wow, so obvious. Imagine, I used to be able to mouse over a planet and know what type it was by the sound but now I can'r even look to the right of the livery screen. Thanks, Birdman!

You can name your ship in Outfitting, it will show on your instruments above the INFO panel and on other ship's instruments but not on the outside of the ship unless you purchase nameplates. It's not like anyone is going to get close enough to see it anyway ...
