Flipping the DK2 screen?

Following the thread on the OC forum about judder be gone, it seems that there may be performance gains to be made by flipping the DK2 screen.https://forums.oculus.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=20504II have sourced some of the recommended test cables from ebay to extend the internal HDMI connector, 3 for £3.75 - and will give it a go if the forum tests are positive and I feel brave enough to open my precious.I know we have VR experts in this forum so am interested in any opinions.Cheers B-Z

No go here I cannot solder for the life of me. Be careful!
No soldering for me - I purchased Note 3 test cable extensions, so it is completely reversible ... OR tear down looks simple enough. Waiting for further test results before going ahead, but if it works it will be worth it.I joined ED beta to play, but found to my delight that some part of me really enjoys just seeing and being part of the evolution of the environment. Every week or so a new version to try with (mostly) incremental improvements, trawling the forums for hints and tips on improving and bridging the gaps. I am sure FD must be using agile development and this is a great example of building and delivering in incremental sprints, involving the user community as part of the development process. The nature of agile is that you don't get a 'complete' product with initial release, instead you get usable foundational components first, then usable chunks of added value and new functions added with each release, and some bug fixes. It is very clear that forum feedback is a major input to their development life cycle. I like where this is going if momentum can be sustained. If you want a finished game, come back later things will only get better over the coming months. In the same way, I bought into DK2 knowing that there is an active community of enthusiasts for support, and that as a dev kit the software solutions will only continue to improve. SweetFX is an example of this ... along with hints and tips found elsewhere in this forum. if there is a simple effective low risk hardware mod I am prepared to try it and will provide my feedback here. Thanks Everyone ...
