Floating Orbs while supercruising

Anyone know what the floating orbs are? I entered a system with a neutron star and while supercruising a bright white and very defined floating ball appeared in front of me. I tried throttling down while still supercruising, turning in all directions and going back to full throttle and it always floated back to the center of my windshield. Further in, another appeared and they both floated around back and forth while turning, etc, but always went back to around the center of my windshield. Unfortunately, they disappeared as soon as I dropped out of supercruise. They were not planets or any stellar objects or ships and could not be targeted. I didn't see them on my radar, either.

I have been playing since beta and have never seen these before. I seem to remember some posts here and there about these amazing little guys, but I can't seem to find them.

That's the distortion of space and time caused by the neutron star. Black holes do it too. Freaked me out the first few times, but you should see it in the rift. Really trippy.

Luminescent space bugs or a case of space madness! :p

A little graphical bug that sometimes appear... not clue how to get rid of it, sometimes logging out and back in does the trick some others restarting the pc, in my current trip I've had it only a couple of times and was really small, like a star in the background. In my first trip it was sometimes of a medium planet size10 ls away from me, really annoying.

Yeah, first time I've seen them and I was wondering if the neutron star was causing visual disturbances, since this is the first one I have visited. I thought they were really neat and they reappeared when I went back into SC again.

The space madness is setting in.

Do not look at the lights.

Do not acknowledge the lights.

The lights do not exist.

Aaah the dancing dots. The current theory is you only see them while exploring near neutrons. I have two, a big one and a small one. Apparently (not confirmed) its linked to having a ADS and a DSS.
