Newcomer / Intro Fly Missions together

Hey everyone!

I've started playing the game at launch day together with a friend. The overall experience is completely awesome and addicting. I love, that the game takes the players seriously and doesn't do everything for you, like docking and so on.
There's one thing I'd really like to have though (or maybe it's there, I just don't know how to do it).
It would love for some sort of way to easily play missions together, split the reward and reputation gain and so on. (We've noticed, that even when my buddy and I are docked at the same station at the same time, we get different missions on the bulletin board)
So let's say when I take on a mission where I have to kill pirates in any system, I get the option to share the mission with my currently active group, or members of that group. That way my buddys would get the missions specifics in their transaction HUD as well. So we now both know where we have to go.
Then it would be great to be able to broadcast waypoints. Let's say broadcast the system you need to fly to and in the system broadcast unidentified signal sources, so you can warp to the same spot together. Maybe even have a fleet commander to whom you can slave your warp drive to, so you really get there at the same time to let's say overwhelm a more powerful enemy by sheer numbers.

This would also be great for trade missions. With two sidewinders you could be eligible for trade missions that requie 8 free units of cargo hold. You and your buddy split the cargo, make their way to the destination together and then split the reward. I believe this would greatly improve the actual feel of the game, because it would make it more social.

So again, maybe all that stuff is there and I just can't find it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks and fly safe!

Not there yet, so no you're not missing something.

Player "wings" (the name for grouping mechanics) are on the way and will be available at some point. Not sure how much it will tally with the various features you describe though. Remains to be seen.

Make sure you add each other as friends and create a group together, that seems to give you best results for team playing

You can still cooperate to complete a mission, but you won't be able to share the rewards. Maybe pick up one each and do one then the other?

As far as Unidentified Signal Sources go, you can let one person drop in on one, and the others in the team can drop in on the same location by using the FSD wake as a waypoint, you should end up in the same area. I was doing it this way with a buddy the other day.

Thanks for the quick replies!

How do I let a person drop in on my location?
I've been wondering what these FSD wake signatures are. So you're saying that stopping at a FSD wake location will drop me at an unidentified signal source that some other player stopped at?
Is there a way to communicate your location when you're out of supercruise (dogfighting for example) to someone who is in supercruise?

Do you have a source where I can easily read up on FSD wakes?

So many questions, such a complicated game - and so awesome! ^^

Thanks again!

Don't have anything to hand.

A low power FSD wake appears every time someone drops from SC. So if you just drop anywhere out of supercruise, you will leave an FSD wake that your friends can target and use to drop out next to you.

I High power FSD wake is basically someone jumped to another system. You need a wake scanner to follow them. Target the FSD Wake with the Wake Scanner, engage FSD and follow.

USS are different to wakes and no you can't communicate with someone out of normal space to SC.

To drop on FSD wakes you need to have a wake scanner equiped on your ship. Its a module you have to purchase and it'll take up one of your available slots.

I believe the wake scanner is only needed for High Energy FSD if you want to follow them to another system. You can try this out by targeting a High Energy FSD wake and try to engage your FSD. It won't let you...

I have in practice actually done this (dropped out at a low energy FSD wake.) I was interdicted, I escaped the interdiction (which means the other party get's thrown out of SC and into normal space) I turned around and targeted the Low Energy FSD wake and exited SC in the normal way and there was my aggressor, waiting for me to turn him into toast. (He was called Breadicus after all!!!)
