flying through a star: survived

First moment I thought I have to die on my way to Sagittarius A*.

Note the short moment the fuel scope deploys. :)

There's a few of us in this club. Welcome. :)

Maybe we should start a support group... "Hello, My name is Traveller and I lost control of my bowels"

Yep, also done it. Scariest thing ever, looking around waiting for sirens to go off. Always set speed to zero when counting down hyperspace, so I was immediately concerned when my scoop was deployed, but ended up in the usual position. Flipped my asp and I was equidistant between the two stars.

One more nice thing is that fuel scooping takes now *half a second* to complete because 99% of all jumps are below 1LY.

hmm, I think I'm still in the "moderators queue" because I wrote one more reply before the last one.

"I'm 146LY out of Sag A*" . Plotted an economical route because of thrill. Still 124 Jumps left.

Happened to me as well. Flew straight through a star and stopped with the main star in front of me and the other directly behind me. I got away just in time to not get completely roasted. It was horrible. Needless to say some undergarments got soiled. I don't think I'm ever going to be the same, shaking the fear of that is going to be hard.
