General Gameplay Foggy Career Island

Your Feature Request / Idea
So as I was driving home tonight form work, a recurring idea I've had in my head came back to me once more so I'm deciding to share. For some reason I can't shake the thought of a missed opportunity for a career island that was covered in fog with poor visibility. As Sorna's a huge place and we've only been given one tiny corner of it maybe theres still hope for this to be added as a new challenge on Sorna somewhere. The idea of this challenge is that you want many dinosaurs and possibly big dinosaurs and I am attached to the iamge of looking through a viewing vent and seeing a handful of Struthiomimus heads poking up through the fog. Dinosaurs in the fog is a terrifying idea and could also have some interesting mechanics for management with more room for... *things* to occur. Rangers are less effective, guests have more difficulty finding their way to emergency shelters. Disease more rampant in the damp conditions. That sort of stuff I think could really make for a unique gameplay experience on that island which is fun. Atmospheric like Pena which really shook up the game throwing tight space, dark light and twisters into the mix. Who knows what happens in the fog?

But first thing first – please be safe on the road.

Besides the visual effects, I like the gameplay effects that you suggested and would like to add a few points here:-

- Foggy weather dampen signal transmission occasionally in such that Dinos and Ranger/ACU team disappearing from the map. A circle with a question mark appears on the last seen location.
- It increases the chance of guest getting lost in chaos in such that a search and rescue operation is needed.
- Perhaps carnivores are more actively engaged in stealthy hunting mode relying on their olfactory sensing?​
Even without any of the gameplay effects, the visual effects alone is thrilling enough.

This would be awesome for a Sorna map! Something I have been wanting since playing Pena was peaceable stadium lights or spot lights. Maybe something like that can be used to "clear the fog". Something you got to remember is that electricity is probably one of the most important resources you have to manage in this game so you wouldnt be able to spam lamp posts everywhere just where you need them.
 
Well since the original Isla Nublar was based on Isla del Coco which has lots of fog, it would be only right to include. Love this idea.
 
A foggy/misty weather type in general (for all of the islands) like the one we saw in the first ingame trailer would be a great addition and would certainly increase atmosphere. The changes to gameplay mechanics that are mentioned above would make this new weather type all the more interesting.
 
How about just add foggy as a condition that can just happen?
Fog doesn't just happen out of nowhere. If anything, I would say make it a condition to coexist alongside other weather conditions on all islands because the choice to limit every island to having one and only one weather condition as an obstacle was a poor move on the side of the devs since it all gets really predictable.

In fact, Challenge Mode Nublar actually has the dynamic weather system that all the islands SHOULD have had once all the three missions were completed per island.
