Newcomer / Intro Follow up mission message: But where?

So sometimes the NPC sends a message that you can get a follow up mission at some location.

However, they only tell the station name, not the system they are in, and by the time I get their message I am long gone, with no clue where that station was.

How do I find it?

I don't think I've ever done a follow-up mission in 9000+ hrs of playing - mainly because they're not worth it.

IIRC, in the galaxy map, one can search for station names in addition to system names. Settlement names appear not to be included though...at least last I checked a few weeks back anyway...

follow up missions will also be available at other stations where the faction issuing the follow up mission is present so you just need to know the faction really.

Just in case you do hang around the port long enough to get the message about the follow up mission, you'll find that it doesn't appear on the mission board until you exit the mission board and come back to it.
