I can't be sure, but I seem to remember in Frontier and FFE, Fomalhaut had a debris ring. This debris ring is not present in ED. I know stars in ED can have debris rings and discs as I have seen them in a few systems (they are fairly rare, at least in the core systems). I would have expected to see this in ED, a game which puts attention to detail to a higher standard than other sci-fi games. I don't mean to be overly nit-picky, just a bit of an odd omission considering this debris ring was present in previous titles in this franchise, if I remember correctly.

I suppose it would present quite the mining opportunity if it were present. I've always considered this phenomenon to be one of the prettiest sights in our galaxy, though the pictures we have of it currently would pale in comparison to seeing it up close. Maybe Fomalhaut would acquire a tourism economy if it were added, though I suppose it's probably too late now to change it.
