Food tray's not working

Hello,
I noticed in franchise mode the food tray's aren't working. The keepers only fill the enrichment items.
Both the small and Large tray's.
Also the Food Bowl's seem to have the same issue.
I added some screenshots, the tray's aren't in any strange locations and I moved them near the door but still no food.

Thought I report this in :)

Thanks for posting this Kitsumeo, it means this issue from the beta is in the full release of the game despite the number of players that reported it.

"Keepers will work out how much food they need to prepare for a habitat based on how many animals are in the habitat. They will then prioritise filling enrichment feeders before standard feeders. This can mean that if all of the prepared food is placed in enrichment feeders, the standard feeders won't be filled!"

That's from their release update. If you have food enrichment, those are getting filled instead. Or are your animals not even being fed via enrichment?

Sadly this is just like in beta but the devs consider it "proper". Your keeprs make up their own mind on how much food is needed and prioritize fillign enrichment items first before food trays.

So if you only have one or two animals they will never fill the trays. And if you want to put multiple trays out to encourage the animals to go to different places inthe habitat, you can't because the keepers control the food, not you. Pretty strange for a management sim but I guess this is the way they want it.

in habitats with no food enrichment items (not even unlocked through enrichment), keepers are still not filling food trays

The question should be asked another way: are your animals starving? If no, leave those food trays alone.

I had no food enrichment items in one of my habitats, the food tray was always full.

well my lemurs just starved to death... and i didn't have any food enrichment items... they just simply wouldn't feed them... period.

+100 for this ! It is not working, I tested without food enrichment and they still don't fill them, and I have to reset the food enrichments.. Sigh...

Infact following replying on this I have just watch my keepers for a bit... They want into the habitat about 1 foot then leave...

When your animals get to almost starving to death, you can place them in the animal trading building (if i remember the work around correctly from beta) until Frontier decides that this is a bug worth fixing.

THAT is normal. They step in, asses the habitat, then they are supposed to take action. If the food is empty and they don't have any food on them they leave, go to a keeper hut and make food, then come back. Problem is that second part sometimes doesn't happen.

No the situation is simple. Does anything in the habitat hold food? Is it not full? Fill it. Regardless of if that is one enrichment item or 100 food trays. If I place an item in the habitat that holds food, I expect a keeper to put food in it. Same for water. No complex logic needed. No determining priorities or calculating food requirements needed. Just fill what I put in there.

Quarantine. It will replenish the animals after some time then you can move them back.

... My animals still aren't being fed properly though. They only go into the habitat properly for poop scooping and that's it.

I was just trying to say that them only going in a foot or so is normal when they are "checking out a habitat" to see what needs to be done.
