I am sick of all those federation whingers out there who say that us Imperials have an easy ride.

Well a strange thing happened today.

Whilst on the road to Imperial glory carving out my glorious Imperial rank one step at a time.
I travel to this independent system on my cargo\smuggling runs and I got offered a mission by the federation military. PAH.
Anyway intrigue got the better of me and I looked at the mission and it was a simple courier mission to deliver documents.
BUT it gave you a rank of CHIEF PETTY OFFICER on completion.
So going from nothing to lvl 4 rank in the federation military for ONE lousy courier mission.

Does completing two courier missions make you an Admiral???

Begs the question what kind of stuff the federation military is made of if they are handing out promotions like this.

So please stop whinging how hard done by the federation is because seems like military service is a breeze.

lol, you lucked out with a bug, one mission for 4 ranks ? lol never happens, normally you have to do 4 missions for ONE rank in its current broken state. Either way its just as borked for both factions anyway lol.

Just because it says you'll get Chief Petty Officer or whatever rank doesn't make it the case; what really happens is that you'd (maybe) get the next rank up upon mission completion.

Nothing compared to the joke the Imperial Navy is. I got the rank Duke without doing anything. The mission that made me a prince of the Empire required me to fetch up a rare artwork in the next door system …
