Newcomer / Intro For Brand New Players Only

This thread is for brand new players as in only had the game for a couple days at the most.
I am here to offer you an opportunity to make high amounts of credits, so we can get you out of that sidewinder.
To get these credits we will go bounty hunting.
To join me respond to this thread and say that you are interested or you can send me a friend request in game. (CMDR MKSEWELL)

I will normally be on Elite Dangerous around 9PM EST to around 3AM. However i will almost always be online to read responses to this thread. Good Luck out there CMDR's

Why split the proceeds?

Honestly speaking, the only reason to wing up with strangers is to not have to go find another RES.

I'm by no means a new player - I just rolled a second account - but I took a default Sidey to a near A-spec Viper in the space of one evening (about 4 hours) by avoiding other players; i.e. if there was another CMDR in the RES, I moved on to another one.

I see your point but most new players will not be able to take down the higher end bounties. They would be making good creds, but they would be there much longer. While if they team up with someone who can take a hit they could get that money in a tenth of the time. I can't tell you how nice it is to hear their amazement when I take down an anaconda worth around 150k and they get 75k for doing almost nothing. Without someone helping it would take them probably about an hour or more to get that money going after the small bounties or even trading. Also grouping up would grant them protection from the griefers that like to stay in the new player systems

I did a small experiment the other day, comparing taking down big ships (like an Anaconda) in a default Sidey (with help from the sysauth, obviously) with sticking to smaller prey.

Basically, you make more cr/hr by sticking to Cobras and Adders anyway.

You could just drop a palladium cloud outside a station - it would be quicker, newbies would still end up with the money, and they'd still be able to learn to shoot stuff on their own. ;)

Hey I tried this. I recommended against it as I originally offered to wing and trade. I felt this would "Teach" them proper flying, HUD manipulation, docking, launching, and basic star port services mechanics. At the time I was in an ASP, with 96T of cargo hold. I let him know that this would allow him to learn the ropes, as he would have to plot the route, he could not follow my jumps. No he wanted to fight. Switched to my Vulture, went to an RES. He lasted about 5 minutes after first attack. I tried to friend the Commander, but he said no and blamed me. So... As nice as this sounds, it can end horribly wrong and put a new Commander off the game. Since then, I have about 10 friends that I have taken in a full wing at times, in an Anaconda loaded with cargo, and let them do all the work plotting the route jumping, waiting for all to arrive before jumping to next system. I am 42, and it was great having a full wing of Commanders my dads age laughing like school kids the first successful trade run. The lure of combat is great, but proper piloting skills and ship management is key in your success. Oh, I am Commander Tardis. I am living in the Empire system of Amphisatsu. Stop on by if you want to learn the ropes and make some credits with a great group of Commanders. We are in open, and some are on TS.

Yes but remember these are new players. Many new players can barely take on other sidewinders. I don't think they will be taking on cobras and adders so easily. I don't intend to help them up into the millions hell not even the hundreds of thousands. I just want to get them enough money to either get out of their sidewinder or to be able to upgrade it so they can fight cobras and adders.
I have already tried to drop high prices goods for new players as well. The problem is slightly more experienced players seem to scoop them up first or the new players are afraid to scoop them up.

This is a great idea and asked a few people if they wanted to try trading with me, but most have denied it. Sadly most of the new players are younger and only want to go into combat.
