Kinect: Disneyland Adventures For Disneyland fans...

I am an OCD fan of Disney parks in general. I just wanted to say that if there are any Disneyland fans actually reading this, you need to buy this game.

Since I was a kid I have played Disney-related video games and the sad truth is that the ratio of miss is much higher than hit. The NES Magic Kingdom game gives me nightmares, although some Disney fans actually liked it.

I'm a fan of both Disneyland and Disney World. The two are obviously different animals, but this Kinect Disneyland Adventures game is accessible to fans of both. OCD Disney fans have been using 3D tech and engines for years to re-create Disney parks/resorts with varying degrees of success. Disney's own contributions to Google Earth is perhaps the closest anybody has ever come to re-creating a 'virtual' Disney until now...

As the many positive reviews for this game have stated, Disneyland is re-creating in extraordinary detail. For the OCD variety of fans out there, I just wanted to add my two sense. I read about the trash cans being there, but even details like the Dole Whip Macaw sign and the petrified wood are there. Some folks mentioned that gift shops are mostly inaccessible, and the licensed attractions (Star Tours, Indiana Jones, Roger Rabbit) are not present. But seriously, even for an OCD fan these are not negative things. Again, they re-produced the Dole Macaw sign and the petrified wood along with little details like the Matterhorn warning audio and related things.

The devs did their homework. For an OCD fan of Disneyland, this is an unexpected dream come true with some fun to be had via the Kinect interaction and games for all ages.

I recommend installing it to the HD as it seems to reduce the pop-in (an also drive noise). I know there are some weirdos out there who obsess over fantasies regarding such detail. Those folks need to go buy a 360, a Kinect, and this game right away.
