...for every day after the PC release, a week without buying ARX.

I don't care about FDEV's "reasons". I don't care that console players are a minority. I don't care about your opinion of my opinion. I'm just announcing it here, publicly:

For every day that transpires between the PC release of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey (EDO) and the release of EDO on X-box, a week will transpire between the release of EDO on console and when I begin purchasing additional ARX from FDEV.

So, Consoles are due around 6 months after PC - that's around 180 days, which means you'll be abstaining from buying ARX for around 3.5 years. So you can buy some around a year after the next DLC :ROFLMAO:

I'm on Xbox and I'll be buying them only when they release a ship kit for the Orca. I'll have probably saved up enough free ones by the time that happens. 😂

Then don't. It's your cash after all. 180 days for 180 weeks? Well, prove your willpower until 2025/2026.

I'm not salty about it but it was disappointing enough that my already waning interest is probably not coming back. I love the game and had more fun with it than any other game, and probably got a thousand times my money's worth with all the time I spent on it. But after 3 years of playing nothing but ED I was having a hard time getting/staying interested. But the Fleet Carrier announcement was exactly what it took to get me excited again because it's exactly what I wanted and opened up a lot of possibilities... then they released and I was so disappointed. I was looking forward to something that would make the game fun for me again and not turn it a huge chore.

Since then I haven't been able to keep myself interested, once going 3 months without playing and when I do play it's seldom more than 30 minutes and I might not play for another week. But as I started to hear more about the Odyssey update I started to get more excited. I didn't really care about space legs or running around with a laser gun in my flight simulator but opening up planets with atmosphere and stuff got me really excited and I started playing a little more and really looking forward to Odyssey then this.

We're not a minority. Yes we're a minority In this game but Xbox alone has almost the same number of players as Steam. If you factor in that most likely a significant portion of those steam accounts are actually alts then the scale tips a bit in our favor. The difference is in the culture. Console players are drawn to Fast paced FPS type of games while PC users tend to stick to more slower paced cerebral types. If fdev advertises elite the way they should we could have a large boom of new players drawn in by the FPS aspect. I'd even suggest fdev consider releasing Odyssey as a standalone game with an "Elite DLC" just to cast the net as wide as possible.

You can buy ARX?

We console denizens engage in the process of "purchasing additional ARX" (beyond those earned by gameplay) through a set of steps much akin to the same process used to rent "movies" from a hotel room television... at least that's what I'm told.

True: just like the PC master race, FDEV awards us lowly console users with ARX for in-game activity.

What about for the Spoilers and plants and bobbleheads and fairy lights and raider kits never given away on Twitch Drops?

My Mystery Machine wouldnt be complete without the skulls and graveyards now. But that was a one-off, as will be the Xmas stuff this year.
