Too true, we really need the option to turn our avatar into bikini babe... Something far less hideous... I suspect winning PvP conflicts might be far easier with the distraction. At least against those with ORift support and full Newtonian bikini physics... :eek: :D

Also, the option to blow the cockpit canopy and raise your chair into space for those emergency "I need to see everything around me" moments. Of course, you'd only have 2 minutes before oxygen depletion, but it might help with those needing the full 3D view. Sure, it would only be a half spherical view, but much better.

Ah, nevermind, let's just all strap on jetpacks and grab some handguns and head off into the fray for the full "I'm in space" immersion element...

Also, Vendetta Online has no cockpit and is a perfectly decent game in it's own right. Limit Theory be third person or HUD only (with a vague bending of the view to suggest a cockpit) - a game many are looking forward to very much. It's not some kind of failing to desire/prefer that mode - your lack of understanding is your own failure. ;)

I agree, the avatar needs to be optional and there should be a HUD only 1st person view.

We just set up our own poll so we can all weigh in then we will go to the third stage of discussions about the poll and discussions and then it will all be decided upon so expect some "action" Soon™ ;):cool::eek::p:)

I agree that these threads should be merged... but I think it would be wrong to close these threads unless they break the forum rules.

We've had many diverse topics on the forum some of which people are dead set against.

I like this forum because of the freedom it gives to people to discuss things about Elite Dangerous...

My vote is merge not close. :)

Thing is what to do with this thread that expresses a problem with having too many threads on a particular topic ? ;)

My opinion all those 1k++ wich less then year registered posters are mostly chit chatting instead ontopic discusion.
So a forum with chat funcionality where reply could be flaged as chat and automatic be moved to the threads chat box.

Now treads of discussion move to several pages of lot of off topic chit chat with not much usefull discusion offerd. But those that do are barried in those multi page non informatic threads.

Spacesim central has a global forum chat box. I guess some like to chat a lot.
I rarely chat. But those that like to do that a lot can. But don't polute threads this way.

I guess some like to talk a lot and might type as fast as they talk.
Spam forums with chitchat.

A observation it might to this multipage poluted chitcat that most forumnusers spam new threads because it is so a mess. To find the good stuff.
